I made a tutorial a long time ago on how to get Windows to automatically install the UMOD files for you, all you have to do is double click them and select the install directory.

That's not the problem Skillz, The problem is that whatever UMOD is opened it always thinks it is the ThieveryUT Umod and when I proceed it complains that I don't have the correct version of unreal tournament installed. It does Recognize it as Umod though.

That means your Manifest file was replaced by the ThieveryUT one. (It was supposed to add it's Manifest INTO your current one, not replace it. You can blame the author for not properly setting up the umod.)Alucard wrote:That's not the problem Skillz, The problem is that whatever UMOD is opened it always thinks it is the ThieveryUT Umod and when I proceed it complains that I don't have the correct version of unreal tournament installed. You can fix this by editing your Manifest.ini, check out this page for what needs to get pasted in. Make a backup of your existing one, first.
In the future, make sure to save a backup of your Manifest.ini before installing any UMOD files.
I realize that's not the issue. That's not what I was replying about. Bozzy said he can't use umods, that he has to use the umodbrowser.Alucard wrote:That's not the problem Skillz, The problem is that whatever UMOD is opened it always thinks it is the ThieveryUT Umod and when I proceed it complains that I don't have the correct version of unreal tournament installed. Bozzy, then you are following the instructions wrong or giving Windows the wrong path to your install directory. What version of Windows are you using?
