Triggering Lights?

Post by Luke »

Hello, i am working on a map called MH-!SD0!AbandonedMansion. It is set on the top floor of an abandoned mansion, you can't remember how you got there, and don't even know where you are. The lights are out, and the only source of light is your searchlight.

How do i make it, so you have to find a switch and press it to turn the lights on?

You need a Trigger : Actor -> Triggers -> Trigger, and a TriggerLight : Actor -> Light -> TriggerLight

put the triggerlights on the place you want the lightning and put the trigger on the place you want the switch to activate the lights . after you did these change the next things

-> Trigger:
Events -> Event = LightOn1

->TriggerLight:
Events -> Tag = LightOn1
Object -> InitialState = TriggerTurnsOn

:eek3: Sounds like it'll be a map based off one of the numerous sites that have these games/puzzles called Escape rooms (where you have to look around to find stuff so as to get out). With monsters added to the mix to hinder players, it sounds like fun. ;)
