Community manager setting up UT2004 game nights

Hey guys! I organize gaming events for the Geekly Inc podcast network. I am also a host of the Drunks and Dragons podcast on that network.

We have organized a UT2004 game night in the past but it was a bit of a mess as I didn't know about redirect servers at the time and had to have users download maps before connecting. To keep it simple this meant we had to stick mostly to the CBPs to expand the selection. I've been trying to set up my own redirect but haven't had a ton of luck and the hunt for a public server brought me here.

Question: Is it possible or against etiquette to download the entire map collection from the public UT2004 server so that my own map list matches what's available on the redirect? I have curated my own map collection over the years and even my smaller collection reaches a healthy 45 GBs, so I know this can be a lot of bandwidth. Alternatively, if anyone has another idea on how I can get a more comprehensive map collection without having to spend hours scraping old websites and broken links for individual maps, that would be helpful!

Thanks!

Also worth noting we are mostly playing vanilla but usually end up doing mutators towards the end of the night.

I am not sure what you are asking to be honest.

I would like to batch download all of the maps located on the ut2004 redirect server but not if you guys have limited bandwidth etc.

Sorry i'm not being super clear.

No worries. That's what I assumed. Figured it was worth asking anyway. Thanks for the response!
