Idk how to get those numbers, but the server redirected me to download those from the redirect and it didn't work correctly.
When I compress the file it's also 1,65MB. Maybe the server has a incorrect version as it still doesn't work correct :/.

Seems there was a difference of a few bytes. Ugh... how can you be sure that you have the correct one, this issue is always so annoying with UT redirects.

If you aren't sure if its a legit file, DON'T upload it. Now I have to delete the file again so someone can upload a legit version.

For md5 http://unrealtournament.99.free.fr/foru ... ?f=9&t=425

You need to try off-line the two files for see if it's work all 2. May be no one corrupt but two working.
May be download the zip map for have the original one.

That MD5 hash is not really relevant for me. First I have to check if file can be decompressed succesfully without errors.

Code: Select all

ucc decompress A_MAP.unr.uz
If exists a file A_MAP.unr decompressed, not with 0 bytes size - move it to map folder and try to play it. If map is loaded and is playable, is done. UZ can be uploaded to redirect, if not, give up to load trash in redirect.

That checksum means nothing. Who know the right checksum for a map ? Nostradamus or some guys playing with Vodoo Magic ? Heck. I even don't care about those numbers, I can see if exist a difference between 2 files even with the same size very easy, if both files are good and are working fine, I wish you luck in discovering "the best".

Checksums are an easy way to verify that two files that should be or should not be identical.

Allright, but if one of them is corrupted the only way to see this is testing "live". For people toying with checksums, feel free to post bad files and their checksum to avoid adding them in servers making admin jobs easier :meh: .
