Good idea. I added an on/off for the server but I'll change that to the client's choice.

Blizz, let me ask you: Would this be better if it were limited to distance as opposed to on/off? I'm having trouble destroying the mutator on the fly. It's set to 2000 UU to show the health pop-up. Would it be better to cut that by half or so? Then you would only see health on monsters very close to you, leaving less clutter on the screen. I could also have it ony pop up when you are actively aiming at a monster?

You guys that play, feel free to wade in. I really want to know what you think about direction on this.

OK here are the three mods we have beta'd so far:

If you would like to play with them offline or on a home server, please shoot me some feedback. I take criticism well, so be honest. :noes:

All these will end up being packaged together somehow whether it's in the MH game itself or a single external mod.

By the way, I made a clean (no changes) MonsterHunt.u repack from the original source code if anyone wants it. Some of the posted MH.u's will not decompile correctly in EditPackages to allow you to mod for MH (Tentacle problems). If you want a copy, I'll post it.

Ordered the stuff to flix my laptop. Soon as it all comes in, shortly there after I'll be able to put them on the PMH server(s) for public testing.

Thanks Blizz, Skillz! Hey Big B, did you get any errors in your logs? Occasionally Pinata is kicking an accessed none on me. I'll fix that one tonight.

Oh I just thought of something to add to the HUD.

IF/when IpTocountry is running display the country flag next to the players name.

Do you have that mod handy Skillz, or a homepage for it? I could add that. I'm thinking of redoing the HUD canvas anyway to make it more MH.

OK found it. Good news is it is open source and looks pretty easy to add in. On the (possible) down side have you ever used this server side before? It's coded to use a php script to query a website to get the information displayed. I know it's probably totally benign but that makes me a bit nervous. I'd guess it adds some server lag too on join, and if it continues to update via the script. Let me do some reading on this and see what people are saying. Perhaps you could run this as a normal mod and see if you like it?
