Maps needing a tweak

I'll start things off:

Minas Tirith-
Simple substitution of the NOFF coded monsters to stop infighting. Move the spawn in closer to stop that silly 15 second walk in.


Edit: No mapmaker listed. Anyone oppose the changes?


Dead City-
Set the spawn building door to encroach by player only. Once the zombies get in, the map is ruined. If you had room to spawn and get a weapon, it's your fault if they get you :)

This will take awhile, i know i've played every map thats on PMH, but theres so many it's hard for me to remember what every map is by looking at it's name, a lot will have to be play-by-play. I'll post when I see a problem with a certain map.

Don't forget to add ammo in Minas Tirith, There's hardly any (if any).. And I could not find any end either. The skybox should also have walls or the like so you can't look from the field into the skybox like the field just.. ends..

Well, I played a few hours awhile ago by myself, nobody was there to play with me, :hsdunno:
So here's all the maps I played and some notes.

Annihilation- Everythings OK

Showdown- This is a UT map(meaning: when you reach end, it reconnects you to the beginning of map), could map ends be put in these maps??

KamikazeV2- All you have to do is kill the queen, which I did, but where is end? is there an end?

SCDeck1- This is a skaarj base, killing lots of skaarj, with like 8 monsters left, it tells you to kill the 4 skaarj bosses or whatever and take control of the transporter, well I killed them and nothing happened, there was 1 monster left, pretty sure it's the queen. But I ran all over that place trying to trip something. Nothing happened, got fed up and moved on.

A few things there you can check out postal, I'll post more as I play more maps.

Oh, and yes please change the walk to Minas Tirith, thats a pain in the ass!!!

OK just finished Minas Tirith and I'm going to post it to the servers in a moment. I moved the spawns up close but I gave players protection and ammo. It's still a hell of a dogfight from the get-go though.

To address some of ALucards questions about the map: it has an embedded counter already that requires you to kill 110 of one type of skaarj before the map will alllow you to end it. I turned the running count on in the chat so it will periodically tell you how many are left before the map can end. As to the end trigger, well i made that visible now so you know where to end it at (but you'll have to find it). Even if you do, you still have to meet that requirement for number of monsters killed.

About editing the skybox and stuff, I left that alone. Doing what I did was probably too much, but after you play you'll see there wasn't much room to do anything else. I don't want to get into changing a map because its the way "I'd" do it, I need to be very careful that I am improving play and not changing to my liking.

I'll try to get a map every day or two done. Hellrazor I really appreciate your help. Your maps you lined out are next on my list. I made a list on my desk and I'll start working my way down as things are posted.

Edit: Just looked at Showdown and it has no end trigger. Nice catch. I'll get that when I get home (unless someone wants to jump in and help? nudge nudge) On Kamikaze the text "GOAL" on top of the cage is the monster end trigger. It has a really small hitbox so it might take a couple of passes to hit it. I will test it to make sure it's ok later today.

me and two other players on ur server MAY have found a bug on one of the maps me and two other plays "JACK_THE_RIPPER" and "mothros" or sumthing like that were playing a map called subway well me and jack the ripper got to the train took a ride died and we couldnt get back to the train it was like a door or sumthing closed we hit every switch on the map we could again nothing we looked for ages maybe it is a bug but we had to map vote after bout 10-15 mins thought id mention it cause if its a bug u might want to fix it.
a chav was slaughtered at the expense of this signature with enough posts i may save the uk

I can confirm the Subway bug. You can blame Mr. X (Dogs of War server) for that one. He is the one that "converted" a ton of SP maps to MH while adding extra mods and junk.

Edit:
Map is fixed. Man the triggers were a real mess. I just set the problem doors and movers to be opened when shot or bumped. It's not a long map and spending the time to retrigger it totally correctly is a job for someone else if they want to do it.

Anyhow I'm upping the map now and it is finishable.

Hell I'm still working on showdown and SCDeck1.
