Guys things are getting a little messy lately. I'd like for you to remember there are certain responsibilities you have as a poster here (and anywhere else for that matter):
If you reply, try not to quote. There is no need unless it's something 6 pages back. Especially don't quote pictures.
Keep your signatures short. A couple of people have sigs that take up 1/2 to 3/4 of my screen at 1280X1024. I'm going to speak to Skillz about limiting this as it's making threads way longer than they need to be.
This is a forum for Monster Hunt and Unreal Games. If a conversation veers off those things, take it to PM. Yes, we have an Off-Topic section but it's getting abused lately. Other forums cater to a socializing atmosphere so I suggest you do your "Where are you from" chatting there and your "What the secret door in MH-Miam go to?" chatting here. From here on, admins will be quicker to prune non-pertinant posting.
It doesn't mean we can't enjoy discussion, but I always want to keep in mind there are a lot of people coming here simply to get information on MH and we need to present the proper face for them. If they see a forum of intelligent conversation, that will attract those type of people.
Thanks for reading and feel free to post up your opinions.
Please everyone read...
Now this should be made into a sticky & right on top!
Oh another item to make things look better is for posters to not just say a one or two worded post (like OH or OK, etc.) or even just an emoticon, but to put in some meaningful & thoughtful/useful stuff in whatever the relevant topic is about.
Also on that vein, a poster should not just write one post & then a minute or so later do another post (or more!) in the same topic... just go back to the 1st post & hit the EDIT button so as to add in anything else that's needed to be said. This would help prevent looking like a spammer (another indication is by also seeing, for example, one having a post count of like 300 posts done within a month since joining.) [Averaging about 10 posts per day ffs!]. Sorry, but there's no prize given out for the fastest & highest post count on a forum like this guys/gals!
*deposits his virtual 2 cents into the coffer.

Actually quoting can help very much - it is often needed to explain just what the poster is replying to.
BUT - just quote what is needed!
You often do not need to quote the whole post from someone.
Just reduce it down to any needed wordage.
I wish more posters would quote sometimes, as they often reply with a vague reply and it is difficult in many situations to tell what they are replying to above their post.
