When I play Monster Hunt, I want something along the lines of a story, basically a REASON to play the map. I hate going into maps where you're just thrown in, told nothing about it, and are expected to just kill monsters. Maps that have tons of respawning monsters for no apparent reason are also somewhat of a pet peeve. Most of all, I definitely do not like when Monster Hunt is turned into "Monster Escape", where you're basically fending for your life in a map. It seems rather counterproductive for what the game is supposed to be.
I do like long maps, though, that take a while to complete, as long as it's not completely ridiculous (e.g. bosses with huge amounts of health). The stories or reasons for trying to beat the map are, in my opinion, what makes or breaks the map for me.
So, what do the other citizens of PMH think?
