Team MH is just that.

Two team COMPETING to win. You don't help the other team members. If they get in your way, you kill them. The negative frags for killing an opposing player was only implemented to discourage people from just killing all the other team members and not focusing on completing the map or killing the monsters.

However, killing the other team members; to prevent them from killing monsters or getting to the end is part of the strategy.

Just like in CTF. You have defenders and attackers. In TMH, it's similar. You need members who protect the "assets" and members who score the points/finish the map.

Sadly, many people who play MH play it because the competition in TDM, DM, CTF, etc... is something that they simply suck at. Killing a monster is easy.

Finally someone says that straight and clear :wiggle:

I always believed that's the reason why many ppl start crying when you kill them in TMH.

PS Except you gopo, you've never cried when I kicked your ass at JB

TMH is indeed a competition game, while fragging players of the opposing team gives negative points it does not mean you can't kill them, it means you should only kill them if there is an advantage in doing so. There are however ways to bother the other team in many maps I made without killing them yourself

TMH-Claustrophobia:
1: Pushing barrels in front of the enemies walkways can slow them down
2: Pushing enemies into the titan pit makes them titan fodder

TMH-USSR_Stroganoff
1: you can push people off the map in the "Virtual reality" area
2: you can activate the teamcannons to shoot on the opposing team

TMH-Robotfactory
1: you can shoot the barrels that the doors react to making it take longer for them to open
2: You can push people into the bottomless pits
3: You can activate the teamcannons to shoot on enemy players
4: You can shoot the final boss' eyes to damage them and make them switch to fire on the other team instead

As you see, the mapper can make teams less or more competitive. Another way is by making sure the teams spend either less or more time together.

A little light bulb appears over my head :)
yeah I had always in my mind that both teams would fight against each other like in most BunnyTrack maps, that means separated in identical areas. But the teams can also fight in one area.

So that means that TeamMonsterHunt can have different "team typed game plays", that's great and a mapper can take care of that when mapping a map :) didn't know that.
