Can you make it so it mentally funnells the player forward? Wider at the spawn end then tapers as it moves towards the other end. At the other end attach a small room 256 square. I have a little surprise I'm going to put in there if I can get the monster end trigger script to accept a short cinematic cut scene. It would be nice if the players spawns and can see the end box from there easily, but not so cramped that a busy server kills multiple player spawns.

Just script it like Spawn>move to endbox>monsterend>nextmap/vote

Exactly. Your eyes are drawn down the hall and you almost can't help it. The player will go where the eyes look.

Ok here's a little nugget for you to use as you map. This is pretty much exactly what is needed. With all the wall reductions though you are going to make a bunch of bsp cuts. Anytime you can create with a single brush, you should. Find your size reference and edit a brush to match it, then make a single cut.

I've used the 2d shape editor to extrude entire levels in one step in 2k4, but I'm not sure if you can do that in this ed. It's a nice, simple way to lay out a map (or section) quickly so long as you arent going to have many bezier curves.

Very nice! You almost can't *not* look down the hall now. Do yourself a favor and open both versions in BSP cuts in the ed and see the difference. It may not seem like much, but those BSP cuts were problem enough that Epic went to static mesh usage almost exclusively.

If you are happy, send it to me and I'll add some stuff and send it back (what we PM'ed). This could be pretty funny stuff.
