Re: ut-files.com may be closing

:blah: *EDIT* Sorry, I did it again, but this one is "less soap-box" and more educational for those interested. Hehe, thanks for the nice words. X I get a bit fired-up about subjects close to my heart. I was close to tears at points writing all that :wtc: As a P.D. archivist since back in the ...

Re: ut-files.com may be closing

Phew! Well-done and merci ...for now. Obviously this is a victory in the battle to stay online, but there are more to come. To my shame I have not contributed with anything more than a call-to-arms in the forums I've posted in. I don't have an account I can do transactions with (vary limiting but ve...

Re: ut-files.com may be closing

OK. so it's purely a standing-cost. How about a sponsor ? You could maybe approach Epic or one of the commercially successful outfits like Tripwire Interactive or RuneStorm ? You can make it in their interest as an official mirror of their files. A deal for one years server rental ? Not too much to ...

Re: ut-files.com may be closing

Hopefully the re-posts around the net will get you some interest. Is your issue purely rental ? or is bandwidth an issue ? You can ease bandwidth using the free Coral CDN. Maybe a mirror on the Web Archive would be an option, or an FTP mirror. http://www.coralcdn.org http://www.ut-files.com.nyud.net...

New Smileys

Any chance you can put the old "useful" smileys back. There is now no arrow to point with, no ideas light-bulb, and my old posts now look a complete mess. There is plenty of new abusive smileys, but I tend to use "useful" ones to mark important text, rather than these ones aimed at poking fun at eac...

Re: Unreal Tournament and Multi/Dual core processors

The link to the optimiser no longer works, as AMD have a fairly dynamic site structure.

The current page for now is found at AMD Dual-Core Optimizer Version 1.1.4
