 TeamMonsterHunt current status?
Hello,
this kind of game sounds interesting, teams starting seperately against a crowd of monsters.
What is the current status about the TeamMonsterHunt game mod? I am looking for a stable download to setup an own server for testing.

What do you mean by the status? Of Team Monster Hunt?

With status I mean the development progress of TeamMonsterHunt.
Are there downloadable files, is the current version in Alpha or Beta state or is there a (stable) release version? Manuals about the new TMH classes and how to use them in TMH maps.

There are a couple of mappers here that would LOVE to help you on any sort of TMH map you'd like to do. Get the TMH mod from the downloads and take a peek at it. The readme is pretty good and if you have MH mapping experience, it will be pretty easy to convert to TMH.
I had to check to be sure but there is a mapping guide inside the TMH download. Feel free to dig in and you'll get all the help you need here.

TeamMonsterHunt seems to be still in Beta state. The help file of the download "TeamMH.zip" says:
--- Version History ---
v0.8 (beta) - 12/25/06: First public beta release of TMH.
The file "TeamMH.u" has 1277228 bytes and a date of 12/26/2006 01:22AM
Does that mean that TMH is still unstable or is just not tested enough? Can people really play TMH or are there known bugs and issues?

Couple of minor bugs, nothing major. The guy who made the gametype has moved on and no one has picked up the torch. I thought about it, but honestly it's just not popular enough. I'll keep focusing my efforts on MH.
If you elect to map for the mod, don't sweat the minor flaws. Blizz, could you outline what still needs addressing for Pinky?

Technically the flaw is that there's no bot support for separating the teams once together. And the Huntcamera breaks all other bot support, the huntcamera is perfect as end cam though.

But hopefully gopostal will fix these problems, because he doesn't really care if TMH is not popular enough, right?
