I've been looking through the ONP site for mistakes and/or outdated info, but a few authors seem to have vanished. Also, many of their sites are hosted on GameSpy, which has recently been clearing out old websites. (Team Vortex's main site is gone along with ONP.)

Skillz, think we could get ready in case these sites get taken down soon?

Team Vortex mapper sites hosted by GameSpy:

Tonnberry Maps
Strogg's Maps
Phragit (Mclane and Darkwaver)

Deleted from GameSpy:

DrPest: I failed to save his site in time.
Chico: His site is gone, but he can still be reached at Excalibur Holland. (That IS the same Chico, right?)

Send me links to those sites and I'll mirror them on my laptop. If they go down, ut-files.com will host a mirror for the Unreal Tournament community.

Speaking of ONP, I just realized not even half an hour ago that the ONP server was down for some reason. I have since started it back up, so the server should be fine. I didn't bother looking through the logs to see why it crashed.

Also give me the URLs of the sites that have been deleted, the internet archive might have some copies of the sites still stored on there server. Might take some editing to get it back the way it is and it's likely we wont even get the entire site back, but some is better than none.

I have no idea who Chico is.

Oh I just realized those are links. Hmm... I need to fix that. So users know when something is a click able link.

Well I tried the archive but it didn't save any of the images on the site.

The other site didn't even return any results.

I'm working on downloading and setting up Tonnberry Maps locally on my computer. Once I am done, I'll zip it up and store it somewhere, should it ever go down then I'll setup a mirror on ut-files.com to host them.

Ah, so the ONP server wasn't discontinued then. I thought it was just a test server you were running. The server was down for a few weeks.

Just added it back to ServerSpy. It was already on GameTracker Though.
It could take a couple of minutes before ServerSpy starts collecting results, but once active, it's usually more accurate then GameTracker (updates every 10 seconds).

No the server wasn't intended to be just for testing, although some testing has been done on the server. I hardly ever play UT anymore, so unless someone informs me of problems with the gaming servers, I seldom find out.

Thanks for the support of the server. I never really realized that many people played on it honestly. To this day I have yet to play ONP from beginning to end.

Yeah, the only testing done was for my ONP-fixing mutator. Tests were successful, so now all can enjoy ONP bug-free. Only the most hardcore will notice any changes. :geek:
