They're mapper updated them. I can post links to his post but im not sure im allowed to (new here)

You need to tell the mapper who released those files originally that if you release something publicly you have to change the name of the file(s) if you make alterations to them later because it will cause file mismatches to clients who have already downloaded the files to play the first version. Adding things like V1, V2, etc.. to the end of the files is enough to change the file name up a bit.

Yeah but when u use .u files u cant just rename them...

Well if you are recompiling them with new code, yes you can. If you are using them in a map, then you need to call the new file name. Although you should use MyLevel for things like that.

It will cause file mismatches, regardless, if you change a file without changing its name. No matter what the extension is.
