Monster Hunt Advanced Mutator

So I am working on a Mutator, though I haven't started on it yet... :lol:

Right now I am just writing down ideas for it.

First and foremost, all "functions" will be able to be disabled by the administrator of the server. This is important, simply because not all "functions" everyone will like, and I want to give the admin of the server the ability to disable whatever he/she doesn't want to use.

On with the list. (Some of these will require models to be made)
  • Backpack - This item will allow you to double the amount of ammo you are able to carry.

    Mutator to prevent multiple pickups of items if you already have them. Example: If you have the shield, when you try to pick up another shield the mutator will see that you already have one, and wont allow you. Same for ammo/weapons and all power ups. If you already have the maximum you can hold, then it wont allow you to "take" the pickup.

    Mutator to drop all weapons when a player dies. I got this idea from the Pinata mod, cool mod but it doesn't work with MH.

    Show the health of monsters. Self explaintory.

    Flamethrower - this weapon will shoot fire as it's primary weapon, secondary fire will shoot a freezing gas, freezing it's enemy.

    Scoring System revised. Based on deaths. Each death takes off 1% of your score. So if you die 25 times and have a score of 100, then your score will be 75 at the end of the game.

    1ups - Similar to Mario's "mushroom" this will give who ever picks it up and extra live.

    Boosting - this mod will allow the player to select whether or not he wants to be boosted by other players or not.
This is all I have for now. More to come as I get more ideas.

Right now I am working on learning how to model, as this will be very important in making this.

maybe you can add a improved hud in monsterhunt something like the operation napali hud with new weapon icons in color

No How about the Xidia/Napali Heaven Redux/7Bullets hud, Thats even better.

Yes it certainly does! An "overlay" graphic like that is not hard and does look good, but HUDs need to be as transparent as possible, else you feel like you are looking out a car window and less like you are in a game.

If you have HUD ideas, please share them. That's going to be the next issue addressed as it will be about time to start working inside the MH mod itself.

About HUDs, I always loved the ONP HUD. There certainly would be issues with custom guns, though. I like how it brought back the icons for your inventory items in the top right corner. I loved having them in Unreal.

I've been dicking around with removing the player model and the health/shield numbers and putting in bars. I'm trying to simplify stuff so I can add more information. Ideally I want players down the side with health and score, but I'm not sure if thats too much.
