Thanks to SgtMuffin from http://www.PWC-Gaming.com for hooking me up with this nifty script that allows searching for files on the redirect a little easier.

http://uz2.ut-files.com/viewer.php

I will be editing this file for the other two redirects as well.

This looks like a very nice tool, Skillz. Thanks for posting it. I do have a question, or perhaps a functionality request... Would it be possible to use the viewer to 'drill down' for both file types and game types. Currently, it seems to only allow one or the other.

I will look into it, but I'm not the author of the script. It was given to me by the owner of PWC-Gaming.com.

This also seems to have broken my ability to use Redirect Server Checker. It doesn't find any files on the http:

Getting recursive directory listing of D:\Games\UT2SVR folder...
Getting redirect file listing via HTTP, please wait...
Got file list, parsing data.....
0 files found on redirect server
788 items in exception list
Found 1975 unreal files on game server. 660 are valid.

Wasn't sure if there was any point in trying to make this work or not..

Well damn, that sucks. I had to do it this way to prevent people from abusing the directory listings.

All you need is a list of the files, correct? I might be able to make this happen without giving up the URLs for site rippers to rip the site. Give me some time to work on a solution for this as I don't think this will be easily solved.

Well this wont be possible and here is why.

RSC looks for links on the web page and fetches the file list that way. What I did was create a PHP script that just listed the files in the same way that Apache's "Directory Index" lists the files only I didn't include hyper links to the files. Meaning you can't click on the file name and it download. This way people can't use the link to site rip the contents.

However, I discovered the RSC only looks for hyper links
Code:
<a href="filename.u.uz">
therefore my list did nothing for RSC.

I am not sure how to go about in creating bogus hyper links with legit file names for RSC to find. So I contacted the author of RSC, really nice guy, and he said he can't find working code of the RSC program and isn't interested in spending time trying to track down an older version of the code. So from what I can gather, I don't think we're gonna be able to use RSC anytime soon. He did give me some information that RSC could use an anonymous FTP connection that list files only to fetch the files. Downloading/uploading of files doesn't need to be possible for RSC to be happy. I am going to look into that.

He did mention that with the return of the new UT that he might get interested in developing a new RSC for it. So maybe in time we will have some hope. His site, in case anyone wants to persuade him into spending time on it is http://brainless.us/contact.aspx and I used Steam to talk to him.

Never give up.

I've got a solution now. Everything is ready, but I just have to implement it all the redirect servers now.
